Manchester United has to “stick together” despite their terrible start to the season, according to Erik Ten Hag

After Newcastle United eliminated Manchester United from the League Cup on Wednesday in a last-16 match, the team’s struggling manager Erik ten Hag said that sticking together is the best way for his team to weather the present storm.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-263545″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-inside-complete-details-about-maseratis-celebration-of-quattroportes-60th-annivers.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com inside complete details about maseratis celebration of quattroportes 60th annivers” width=”1345″ height=”753″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-inside-complete-details-about-maseratis-celebration-of-quattroportes-60th-annivers.jpg 300w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-inside-complete-details-about-maseratis-celebration-of-quattroportes-60th-annivers-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1345px) 100vw, 1345px” title=”Manchester United has to "stick together" despite their terrible start to the season, according to Erik Ten Hag 6″>

After one of the club’s worst starts to a season in decades, the Dutch manager, who is under tremendous pressure, stated, “That is the only way, stick together.” “But everyone needs to take responsibility, be accountable, and work together. You also need to be disciplined.”

Eddie Howe’s Magpies won 3-0 to get revenge on Manchester United, whom they lost to in the League Cup final the previous year. When the final whistle blew, the Old Trafford fans, reeling from their defeat, jeered the home team off the field as they played with more energy and made Ten Hag’s squad seem disoriented and uninterested.

Ten Hag emphasized, “You gain confidence when you achieve the right results, and it’s only possible when you are adhering to the guidelines, playing the game, winning your conflicts, and winning the fight, but especially do it together—you have to do it as a team.”

For the first time since 1930–31, Manchester United has dropped five of their first ten home games in all competitions. After losing five of their first ten Premier League games for the first time ever, they are now ranked eighth in the league.

When asked whether the players of Manchester United had the fortitude to get through this difficult time, Ten Hag said, “I am confident that players will stand up and stick together.” This is insufficient. It’s my fault for this. We must all rise to our feet at once.

Following a similarly dismal display on Sunday, when Manchester City crushed them 3-0 in the derby at Old Trafford, came Wednesday’s lackluster effort.

Former Man United captain Roy Keane said on Sky Sports, “You have to motivate yourself; the manager isn’t there to inspire the players.” You have to be prepared for every game, and Ten Hag must be quite humiliated that he had to talk about his players’ lack of enthusiasm for a football game after the game.

The fact that Man United is attempting to finish in fourth place, he said, “tells you how the standards have dropped at Man United over the last few years, both on and off the pitch.”

Ten Hag said that United have to step up their game right away.

“We need to bounce back from it,” he said. “We must act swiftly. The matchup with Fulham is on Saturday. Our expectations must be increased. This is insufficient.

After a good night’s sleep, we will decide on the squad and the strategy. The mindset is where we need to prepare most of all.
